    Minimalism for Sleep

Our Understanding of Sleep Comfort

We are an Austrian family business based in Vienna. For over fifteen years, we have been accompanying people in transforming their bedrooms into a true oasis of well-being. Our focus is on thoughtful bedding, natural materials, and a calm, minimalist aesthetic. We do not work with empty promises, but with tested fabrics, handpicked partners, and a clear stance: good sleep does not need miracles, but the right foundation.

Our team consists of four people, all united by one conviction: that a well-thought-out bed is more than just a piece of furniture. Benjamin Wimmer brings years of experience in material development, Nadine Strobl handles consultation and room design, Sophia Aschauer is responsible for purchasing and quality control, and Mag. David Jovanovic B.Sc. ensures clear structures as a business economist. Together, we test every duvet, every pillow, and every cover for its actual suitability for everyday use. Our approach is deliberately unspectacular: we rely on linen, cotton, and bamboo viscose because these fibers demonstrably improve the sleeping climate. We avoid exaggerated high-tech promises and instead focus on workmanship, fit, and durability. Every product we carry is tested by us beforehand – not in a lab, but in our own beds. Because only then do we know whether a mattress truly delivers what its construction promises. Our customer base is diverse: from young couples furnishing their first shared apartment, to people with sensitive backs, to allergy sufferers who rely on pollutant-free materials. We provide personal advice – by phone, email, or directly in our showroom at Neubauerstraße 13. It is never about quick sales, but about the question: What do you really need for a restful night? This attitude shapes all our work, from product selection to customer service.

Frequently Asked Questions About Your Sleep Comfort

Short and clear – answers about bedding, care, and furnishings that truly help you.

Which mattress firmness is right for me?

The ideal firmness depends on your body weight and sleeping position. Lighter individuals (under 60 kg) often sleep better on a soft to medium mattress, while heavier individuals (over 90 kg) usually need firmer support. Side sleepers benefit from a softer shoulder zone, back sleepers from even spinal support. The best approach is to test the mattress in a specialty store for at least ten minutes in your usual sleeping position.

How often should I replace my pillow?

A pillow loses its support after about one to two years. If you wake up with neck pain or the pillow no longer springs back to its original shape after being compressed, it's time for a replacement. Down pillows should be replaced every two to three years, while latex or viscose pillows often last three to four years. Regular airing and a washable cover extend their lifespan.

Which bedding is best for allergies?

For allergy sufferers, tightly woven cotton covers with a thread count of 200 TC or higher, or special microfiber bedding, are recommended. These materials allow fewer dust mites to pass through. Look for the OEKO-TEX label, which identifies textiles tested for harmful substances. Washability at 60 °C is another criterion – linen and cotton handle this temperature well, while bamboo viscose does not.

How do I properly care for my duvet?

Most duvets can be machine washed at 40 to 60 °C – check the care label first. Use a gentle detergent without fabric softener, as it can clump the filling. Dry the duvet in the dryer with tennis balls to fluff up the filling. Air the duvet regularly, preferably outdoors, but not in direct sunlight.

What is the difference between cold foam and innerspring?

Cold foam mattresses adapt point-elastically to the body and are often more breathable. They are especially suitable for people who sweat a lot or prefer a softer sleeping feel. Innerspring mattresses offer firmer, more elastic support and are more durable. They are ideal for those who appreciate a cooler sleeping climate, as the spring construction promotes air circulation. Both materials have their advantages – the choice depends on your personal preferences.
